No approval for KPV exists as of 23 September 2026. FDA Philippines warned the public on 4 September 2026 against an unregistered KPV multi-use vial, and the US FDA says it has found no human exposure data on KPV. Updated 23 September 2026 01 ## The FDA Philippines advisory FDA Advisory No. 2026-1013, 4 September 2026: FDA Philippines warned the public against buying or using an unregistered KPV 10mg/1ml multi-use vial sold with bacteriostatic water, which had not been issued a Certificate of Product Registration. Like the tirzepatide warnings, it concerns one named product and states that it had no Certificate of Product Registration. It is the only FDA Philippines advisory naming KPV found on the date checked. 02 ## United States and Europe FDA's compounding page (current as of 22 April 2026) says: "FDA has not identified any human exposure data on drug products containing KPV administered via any route of administration. FDA lacks important information regarding any safety issues raised by KPV, including whether it would cause harm if administered to humans." Drugs@FDA: "no record found". EMA: "no record found". 03 ## What KPV is KPV is the last three amino acids of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone. Its research is in mice, rats and cell culture, mainly colitis models, so the Research Desk rates it animal and cell. Primara Labs sells it only as a component of a blend. 04 ## What the animal work found In mice with chemically induced colitis, KPV reduced colitis and inflammatory cytokine expression. In rats with chemotherapy-induced mouth ulcers, KPV in an adhesive gel improved food intake and body-weight recovery. 05 ## How it is thought to act KPV is the last three amino acids of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone. In cell studies it enters intestinal and immune cells through the peptide transporter PepT1 and dampens NF-kB and MAP kinase inflammatory signalling.
