# CJC-1295 and Ipamorelin: What Research Shows (Philippines Guide)

CJC-1295 and ipamorelin explained: two growth hormone secretagogues, what human studies exist, what is animal-only, and their regulatory status. Research notes

CJC-1295 and ipamorelin are one of the most searched peptide pairs. But how much human research is there, really? They are two different peptides. CJC-1295 is a lab-made analog of growth hormone releasing hormone, or GHRH.

Ipamorelin mimics ghrelin at the growth hormone secretagogue receptor. Think of two buttons on the pituitary gland. Each peptide presses a different one, and both tell it to release growth hormone. A 2006 study in healthy adults found one injection of CJC-1295 raised growth hormone 2 to 10 fold, for 6 days or more.

That version carried a DAC extension. Products labelled no DAC are a different, shorter-acting form. For ipamorelin, a 1998 study in rats and pigs found it released growth hormone without raising cortisol. That is animal data only.

Ipamorelin did reach human trials. A 2014 phase 2 trial in 114 adults after bowel surgery tested it for postoperative ileus. It did not beat placebo, and development stopped. What is unknown?

We found no published clinical trials of the two together. A 2006 CJC-1295 trial in people with HIV was halted after a participant died. In 2024, the US FDA flagged limited safety data for ipamorelin. Status: neither peptide is an approved medicine anywhere.
