How the peptide market in the Philippines works

Peptides in the Philippines are sold under research-use-only terms. The seller supplies a labelled vial for laboratory research, and the listing makes no claim about what the compound does to a person. Payment is usually the first thing a foreigner runs into. Many local sellers only accept GCash or Maya, which need a Philippine mobile number. Primara Labs takes those too, and Wise, international bank transfer, Zelle or crypto for buyers whose money is abroad. For a visitor on a home-country SIM, or a resident whose savings sit in a bank abroad, a seller that takes wallets only is a seller they cannot pay.

Where peptides stand with regulators

Peptides are not classified as controlled substances in the Philippines. Compounds such as BPC-157, TB-500, GHK-Cu and the incretin peptides do not appear on the schedules that govern narcotics and other restricted drugs. Research-use-only vials are also not registered drug products: they are not approved by the Philippine FDA for human use, and they are not food supplements. That is the category Primara Labs sells in, and the wording used across this site.

Of the compounds in the Primara Labs catalogue, 4 (tirzepatide, semaglutide, tesamorelin and bremelanotide) are also the active ingredient of a prescription medicine approved by the US FDA for a named use. That approval covers the named medicine for its labelled use, never a vial of the same substance sold for research use. Tirzepatide is the active ingredient in Mounjaro and Zepbound, prescription medicines approved by the US FDA; the Primara Labs vial is a reagent sold for research use only and is not that approved product.In the Philippines, registered incretin medicines are prescription drugs, dispensed through licensed pharmacies against a doctor's prescription.

Retatrutide has no approved medicine anywhere. On the Primara Labs Regulatory Status Tracker, its US FDA status reads “Investigational” and the EMA medicines report shows “No record found”, both checked 23 September 2026. Sponsor plans a US Biologics License Application submission in Q1 2027.

FDA Philippines publishes advisories on unregistered products as it sees fit. The tracker lists 8 advisories since 30 January 2025 that name a compound in the catalogue, and 5 of them warn the public against buying or using an unregistered product. The most recent warning, FDA Advisory No. 2026-1020 of 4 September 2026, concerned an unregistered tirzepatide product.

The position can change: a future advisory, import rule or reclassification could touch any of these compounds. How to judge a peptide seller before you pay

What a seller publishes before any chat says more than anything it says in one. Four things matter most to a foreign buyer, each set out below with how Primara Labs meets it. All ten checks are on the supplier checklist.

1. Testing documents you can open yourself

A report image can be edited or reused. A verification key lets you open the laboratory's own copy, which the seller cannot change. An endotoxin test says nothing about identity or purity, and a purity figure says nothing about whether the compound is the right one. A report is only evidence of what it measured.

2. Payment options that fit where your money is

Payment methods tied to a named account leave a trail; a seller that will only take an untraceable transfer leaves you nothing to dispute. Look for the payment methods listed on the site before you chat, and whether the name on the account matches the business.

How Primara Labs meets it. Primara Labs lists 8 methods on the site: GCash, Maya, QR Ph bank transfer or InstaPay for anyone with a Philippine account, and Wise, international bank transfer, Zelle or crypto for money held abroad. 3. Delivery you can hold the seller to

Named couriers and published delivery windows can be checked against what actually happens; vague promises cannot. Look for the couriers the seller uses and the delivery window per region, then compare them with what other buyers report.

How Primara Labs meets it. Primara Labs states that its stock is held in Metro Manila cold storage rather than ordered in after purchase. Rider delivery by Grab Express or Lalamove. Courier delivery by J&T Express. Ordered before 12 noon on a weekday, Metro Manila addresses receive the same day. Elsewhere, delivery takes Luzon in 1 to 2 business days, the Visayas in 2 to 3 and Mindanao in 3 to 5. Courier is free on orders over ₱10,000 anywhere in the Philippines. 4. A returns policy in writing

A vial cannot go back on the shelf once it has left cold storage. The useful question is what a seller does when one arrives broken, warm or wrong, or is not the compound on the label, and whether that is written down before you pay.
