Reading your vial label: batch numbers, dates, and what you add.
The label is the vial's identity document. Half of it is printed before it reaches you. The other half is yours to write, and skipping it is how mix-ups happen.
What is printed on a Primara Labs label
Three things matter on arrival. The compound name and the stated mass, which should match your order exactly: a 20mg BPC-157 vial says so, and if the pack says one thing and the label another, stop and message support. The batch number, printed on every vial that leaves Metro Manila stock, which identifies the production lot the vial belongs to. And the research use marking, which states the terms the product is supplied under. Checking all three against your order confirmation takes thirty seconds and belongs in the same first-minute routine as the cold-pack check in the unboxing checklist.
Why batch numbers matter
A batch number converts an anonymous vial into a traceable one. For research work, that is the difference between a reproducible record and a guess: if results shift between vials, the first question is whether the vials share a lot, and the batch number answers it from the label. It also changes what support can do. A WhatsApp message that says "my BPC-157 vial" invites a generic reply; one that quotes the batch number lets the conversation reference that specific lot, its production date and its history. This is also a supplier quality signal worth generalizing: a vial from any source with no batch number has no paper trail, no lot to ask about and no accountability, one of the flags covered in the red flags guide. Log the batch number in your lab notebook alongside the results it produced, so the trace runs in both directions.
The half you write yourself
The printed label describes the vial as shipped. The moment you reconstitute, the vial changes state, and the label should say so. Two entries with a fine permanent marker cover it. First, the date water went in: this starts the 28-day refrigerated window from the shelf life guide, and an undated vial in a refrigerator is a vial of unknown age within a week. Second, the concentration: the volume of bacteriostatic water added and the resulting mg/ml, for example "2ml, 5 mg/ml". That single figure is what turns syringe units into micrograms on every subsequent draw, and writing it on the vial beats trusting memory across four weeks. Labs running several compounds at once sometimes add a third mark, a colored dot per compound, so vials are distinguishable at a glance on a crowded shelf. Cheap habits, and every one of them prevents an expensive mistake.

Label questions
What does the batch number on the vial mean?
It identifies the specific production lot the vial came from. Every Primara Labs vial carries a printed batch number, which ties the vial in your hand to a specific batch record and makes any question about it answerable rather than a shrug.
Why does batch traceability matter for research?
Reproducibility. If two vials behave differently in the same protocol, the batch number tells you whether they came from the same lot. It also gives support a concrete reference: quoting the batch number in a WhatsApp chat lets the question be answered about that batch, not about vials in general.
What should I write on the label myself?
Two things at reconstitution: the date and the concentration, for example 2ml added, 5 mg/ml. The date runs the 28-day working window, and the concentration is what converts syringe units to micrograms every time you draw.
What if a vial arrives with a damaged or illegible label?
Photograph it and send it in the WhatsApp chat before doing anything else. A vial that cannot be identified should not enter research work, and support can match the delivery to its batch and sort out a replacement path.
