What is CJC-1295 with ipamorelin?
CJC-1295 with ipamorelin combines two growth hormone secretagogues: CJC-1295, an analogue of growth hormone-releasing hormone, and ipamorelin, which acts on the ghrelin receptor. As of 23 September 2026, each has small human studies of its own, but no published study has given the two together, so the combination itself is unstudied.

01
CJC-1295
CJC-1295 is a modified analogue of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH 1-29). The form studied in people carries a reactive group that binds to albumin in the blood, which extends its half-life to several days and gives sustained rises in growth hormone and IGF-1.
In two small randomised, placebo-controlled trials in healthy adults aged 21 to 61, one injection of CJC-1295 (DAC form) raised mean growth hormone 2 to 10-fold for 6 days or more and IGF-1 1.5 to 3-fold for 9 to 11 days.
02
Ipamorelin
Ipamorelin is a synthetic five-amino-acid growth hormone secretagogue that acts on the ghrelin receptor to release growth hormone from the pituitary. In animal pharmacology it released growth hormone without raising ACTH or cortisol, which is why its developers called it selective.
In a phase 2 placebo-controlled trial of 117 patients after bowel resection, ipamorelin did not significantly shorten the time to a first tolerated solid meal (median 25.3 against 32.6 hours on placebo).

Safety data
The two healthy-volunteer trials report no serious adverse reactions; per-event rates are not given in the abstract.
In the phase 2 bowel-surgery trial, any treatment-emergent adverse event occurred in 87.5% on ipamorelin against 94.8% on placebo.
The US FDA states on its compounding page that it has identified serious adverse events associated with CJC-1295, including increased heart rate and systemic vasodilatory reaction.
04
Ipamorelin in healthy volunteers
In a dose-escalation study in healthy men without a placebo arm, ipamorelin produced a single growth hormone peak at every dose studied.
In a non-randomised study of healthy men aged 20 to 40, one week after CJC-1295 trough growth hormone was 7.5-fold higher and IGF-1 45% higher, while the frequency and size of growth hormone pulses were unchanged.
